A refreshing retro look and feel that brings back fond memories. Parking limited. Hamburgers are good. Fries and onion ringsare so-so. Friendy. It beats McDonald's plastic, sterile, bad music environment hands-down. However, yesterday I caught the new staff trying to overcharge me, and felt suspicious. Tried to charge me 40 flat for what I normally paid 28 for the same order. Didn't even apologize, nor would he let me see the tab.
Going here is like taking a step back in time. It's magical anf lovely. The deco looks old school. The employees feel like teens from the 90s working a summer job. But they were so attentive and nice. I loved hearing them laugh and have fun as they worked. So often places are so incredibly understaffed that the employees always look stressed. Not here! The food was great. The ice tea was perfectly brewed. Not too bitter. The fries were cooked perfect. The garlic bread reminded me of dairy queens old Texas toast and the burger was *perfect* ratios. I also love the old school parking. Everything about this place made my day.
Stopped by to get some burgers before an event. Got to the event and everyone commented on how good they smelled— and they were right! I got a regular bacon cheeseburger and a double bacon for my partner. We sure had a great time eating these in the woods! Would definitely go again. Also the line was basically out the parking lot the whole time I was there.
We loved it! It was my first time and the garden burger was so good. Dog was happy too for getting a hamburger patty as well.
My one wish is to order online ahead of time. You also don't get an option to tip on the card, and I rarely have cash. I love this place, and I go an extra 25 minutes each way to reward my team with lunch from here. I ask if we meet this goal, what do you want? Always the same answer: lunch from Scotties.
